Redcar Bulk Terminal

Located on the south bank, near the mouth of the River Tees, Redcar Bulk Terminal is the east coast’s deepest water marine terminal.

Capable of handling vessels with drafts up to 17 metres, the 320-metre quay is equipped with two rail mounted gantry cranes with both grab and hook capability, offering bulk discharge rates in excess of 40,000 tonnes per day.

A 320-acre terminal storage area lies immediately adjacent to the quay, providing short and long-term storage for a variety of bulk cargoes as well as assembly and disassembly of large conventional and offshore wind projects. The terminal also offers separate rail handling facilities for rapid loading and off-loading and enjoys direct access to the UK rail and road networks.
