ABLE UK

Since 1966, ABLE UK have been enabling the development of strategic land and marine sites nationwide. Located on the north bank of the River Tees, ABLE Seaton Port covers 126 acres including one of the world’s largest dry docks of 25 acres. It is at the heart of the UK offshore wind zones with infrastructure and planning consents already in place. This makes it an ideal location for manufacturing, construction and deployment of full-scale turbines and associated components.

Liberty Steel Group

Liberty Steel Hartlepool manufactures longitudinally submerged arc welded carbon steel pipes, supplying the world’s major energy companies, as well as the construction and civil sectors. As part of the wider Liberty Steel Group, the company is the eighth largest steelmaker in the world. Here in the UK, it’s the third largest manufacturer and the only producer of large diameter tubes, with more than 3,000 employees spread across ten locations. Its Hartlepool base offers industrial buildings with access to potable water, bulk gases, electrical supplies, local area network and overhead cranes.

LV Logistics offers a full range of services by land, sea and air from Teesside around the globe through our worldwide network of offices and facilities. Our UK flagship facility, in the heart of Teesside, is incorporated as part of the Freeport zones and our five additional facilities are located within a 3-mile radius. The key services we offer from these facilities include global transport and logistics, warehousing, material control, export packing, ships agency, customs brokers and consolidation offering on-time deliveries to major projects locally.

PD Ports

Operating Teesport and the Port of Hartlepool, PD Ports are one of the Tees Valley's largest employers and the UK’s northern gateway for international trade. Contributing £1.4billion to the economy each year, its main operation at Teesport is the fifth largest port in the country and the only major port in England to handle more exports than imports. As well as established global links and existing partnerships, PD Ports is considering developing customs sites at both Teesport and the Port of Hartlepool, which would allow investors to take advantage of unrestricted duty and VAT suspension.

Port of Middlesbrough

Operated by AV Dawson, whose history dates back to 1938, the Port of Middlesbrough provides multimodal logistics solutions on the River Tees across sectors including energy and renewables, construction, agriculture, automotive and waste. It’s the only port in the region with heavy and high access, while also boasting deep-water berths and an onsite ships agency. The 100-acre site offers extensive warehouse and storage options, including on and off port warehousing, climate controlled metals storage, lay down areas and 42-metre-high fabrication halls.

Redcar Bulk Terminal

Redcar Bulk Terminal is the east coast’s deepest water marine terminal. Located on the south bank of the River Tees, the quay is capable of handling vessels with drafts up to 17 metres, and is equipped with two gantry cranes to offer bulk discharge rates in excess of 40,000 tonnes per day. The terminal is a key player in the regeneration of the adjacent former steelworks site as it facilitates trade to and from the region. Over the past three years, many businesses have relocated their trading operations to the area in order to benefit from the logistical advantages and close-proximity to the North Sea.

Teesside International Airport

Offering daily flights to London Heathrow, Teesside International Airport connects the Tees Valley to the capital and beyond. Together with its Amsterdam Schiphol service, this unlocks more than 200 destinations worldwide for both business and leisure. Work is also under way to develop a world-class 270-acre business park with unique airside access. The development includes opportunities for high-quality offices, warehousing and logistics facilities, all set within a fast-growing airport community.

Teesworks

Covering 4,500 acres on the banks of the River Tees, Teesworks is Europe’s largest brownfield site, home to diverse, sustainable and low-carbon activity. Under the direction of the South Tees Development Corporation, the site boasts a range of industry leaders and sustainable pioneers, including Anglo American, British Steel, MGT Teesside, Northumbria Water, PD Ports, Redcar Bulk Terminal and GE Renewable Energy. An emphasis on modern manufacturing alongside renewable activity and the clean energy sector make this a powerful and resilient industrial cluster.

Wilton Centre

As one of Europe’s largest research and development facilities, the Wilton Centre is home to a number of leading global and regional businesses in the chemical, manufacturing, material and life science industries. The complex is set in a 75-acre landscaped park, offering office, laboratory and pilot plant accommodation to science and innovation-focused businesses. Located adjacent to Wilton International, the Wilton Centre sits at the heart of the North East of England Process Industry Cluster (NEPIC) and is the UK’s largest collaborative peer network of scientists, technologists and entrepreneurs.

Wilton Engineering

Based on the north bank of the River Tees, Wilton Engineering specialises in designing, manufacturing, coating and loading out large complicated structures for industries including oil and gas, subsea, marine, decommissioning and offshore wind. Its 112-acre construction facility presents some of the largest construction halls in the UK, which are supported by three load out quays, two RoRo quays, Wet Dock and also three slipways for launching directly into the River Tees. The company also provides in-house services and an extensive vendor network.

Wilton International

Wilton International is Britain’s biggest chemical complex, offering low-cost utilities and the UK’s largest private wire network. Owned and operated by Sembcorp, the site is home to existing businesses including SABIC, Ensus, Alpek Polyester UK, Huntsman, Biffa Polymers, Nippon Gases and Anglo American — who together have invested more than £1.3billion over the past ten years. Sembcorp is also partnering in the Whitetail Clean Energy project, which is poised to be the UK’s first Net Zero emissions power plant with CCS at Wilton International.
